Esmeralda Vichareli Kruse was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. From the time she was a little girl, she dreamed of becoming a teacher. She loved pretending to teach her stuffed animals and dolls, often teaching lessons in both English and Spanish.
Esmeralda earned her degree in Bilingual Elementary Education from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She dedicated 34 years to teaching elementary school students, inspiring young minds through reading, creativity, and a love of learning.
After retiring and settling in Fort Worth, Texas, she continued sharing her passion for literacy through the Fort Worth Imagination Pen Pal Program, where she reads children's books and records videos for schools.
After reading countless stories to children throughout her career, Esmeralda discovered a new dream—to write a children's book of her own.
Tiempo de Rimas combines her love of teaching, poetry, and bilingual learning into a joyful celebration of the months, seasons, and special moments that children experience throughout the year.
She hopes this book inspires young readers to discover the magic of words, imagination, and learning.

Esmeralda Vichareli Kruse nació y creció en Laredo, Texas.
Desde que era una niña pequeña, soñaba con convertirse en maestra. Le encantaba jugar a enseñar a sus muñecos y animales de peluche, compartiendo lecciones tanto en inglés como en español.
Esmeralda obtuvo su título en Educación Primaria Bilingüe en la Universidad Our Lady of the Lake de San Antonio, Texas. Dedicó 34 años a la enseñanza de estudiantes de nivel primaria, inspirando a generaciones de niños a través de la lectura, la creatividad y el amor por el aprendizaje.
Después de jubilarse y establecerse en Fort Worth, Texas, continuó compartiendo su pasión por la alfabetización mediante el programa Fort Worth Imagination Pen Pal, donde lee libros infantiles y graba videos para escuelas.
Tras leer innumerables historias a niños durante su carrera, Esmeralda descubrió un nuevo sueño: escribir su propio libro infantil.
